13-Pin Socket with Micro-switch (for Vehicle Specific towing electrics)
To be used only if the tow vehicle is fitted with Vehicle Specific towing electric kits.
The micro-switch inside the socket is activated when the trailer/caravan is plugged in - this electrically cuts out the vehicle fog light/reversing sensors (depending on the VSK kit on the vehicle).
Specification
The 13-pin system is set to be the new standard over the current 7-pin type:
- 13-pin plugs have been fitted to all new caravans since 2008
- A rubber seal on the plug ensures a water-tight connection
- Twist-fit attachment between socket and plug ensures full contact on the pins at all times
